We went on a random Wednesday and it was definitely worth it. The bar tender was amazing and friendly. The food was great. Freshly made and great ingredients. They had kareoke and it was fun and worth going on a Wed.
Owners and Staff are great people and make sure they take care of your needs. Food is next level, if you like Darrel’s poboys then you need to eat here, they remind me of the old Darrel’s but better. I had the Papa Special and the Meatball with Gravy.
This place is incredible. We come visit Lake Charles probably once a month & wanted to find a local bar with a down home atmosphere. This is it ! The staff was amazing, super friendly & super welcoming. We tried the Brisket bread, Turkey & Bacon Wrap, and the cheese bread. All of it was amazing. I’m telling you, the brisket bread was the best thing I’ve eaten in Lake Charles in all of our visits. The meat was tender & juicy, the BBQ sauce was perfect, not too sweet, not too tangy. The side of cheese to dip it in was flawless. It’s a homemade cheese sauce they make in house. For drinks, we tried the Frozen cocktails. I had the Caribbean Martini & the Chocolate Covered Banana. Both were awesome. A couple of those Martinis will have you feeling right ha ha ! We loved this place & it will be a “must do” for us everytime we come to Lake Charles. See y’all next month when we’re there for my birthday !
This is one of my favorite spots to grab a quick poboy. I always order the Pappy poboy with jalapeno mayo and I’m never disappointed!! It’s a very laid back chill environment that’s perfect to hang out with friends on a Friday night.
The Papa Special is the BEST poboy I've ever eaten!!! A must try!
